The family's visit to Canada!

I'm finally posting pictures from August when the whole Liechty clan came to Saskatchewan for a visit. It was a great time!!!

Everyone walked around the University of Regina where Nuno and I work and we also saw First Nations University of Canada (the only one of its kind in Canada and a federated college of the U of R).

We went kayaking and canoeing at Wascana Lake - which is in the middle of Wascana Park, the biggest urban park in North America (yes much bigger than Central Park). Cori was showing off her kayaking skills and Jessi was a great sport for a while and then insisted on her turn to paddle :)

We walked around downtown and saw the buffalo. We saw an Elvis impersonator, avoided a local carnival, and Cori and I quickly joined the ranks of Canadians by purchasing Roots hoodies.

We walked around and saw the flowers at the temple and took tons of photos.

We really loved having everyone here. Thanks for making the trip!

Texas Hill Country

Hi Everyone!!!

It has been about 1928317324 days since we blogged, so it's definitely time for an update. We took a mini vacation with the puppies to the Hill Country of Texas. The most beautiful place in Texas I've seen so far. Here are some pictures!

We stayed in a little cottage in Kerrville, TX. Our back yard led to the Guadalupe River.

This was our view from the back yard

On the way to the river. So pretty, I kept making Ryk stop for pictures!

This was our first little mud pond on our way to the river. Nacho LOVED exploring. He crawled through every bush, chased every critter, sniffed every stack of branches, and even took a little swim (see below)! Chauncey on the other hand, would not take one step into the water.

We took a canoe on the Guadalupe River inside a State Park.

It was beautiful!

Then we went to anothe state park called Enchanted Rock. It's basically just a big hill of solid granite. We went on a small hike until the dogs got too hot.

There were a lot of animals and birds!

The puppies could not have been happier.

We are in Canada right now and will post some pictures soon. We love you all!
